Job Description

An investment bank in central London are recruiting for a data integration engineer. This is a hands-on role responsible for designing, developing, testing, releasing and third line support of in-house system integrations. The data integrationengineer will come with a sound understanding of the SDLC for system integrations.Key responsibilities and duties

  • As a data integration engineer you will be developing integration jobs using Talend Data Integration platform and Talend Studio, T-SQL, Azure DevOps, SQL Services, and Service Bus
  • The data integration engineer will be a key engineer on all projects related to the data warehouse, MI, or fast-moving financial data
  • You will be supporting and promoting integration platform across the engineering teams
  • As a data integration engineer you will also be migrating the remaining legacy integrations and data processing applications to Talend Data Integration platform
  • Youll work closely with other data integration engineers, software engineers, DBAs, and infrastructure engineers to design systems and solutions
  • Data integration engineers are responsible for ensuring that code is written to the highest standards with an appropriate level of test coverage including unit, system, and integration tests
  • As well as this you will also be working alongside business analysts and business stakeholders to identify the best solutions and technologies to solve current and future problems
  • As a data integration engineer you will support existing applications as third line support when necessary

  • Languages: Java 8 and 11, T-SQL, SOQL
  • DB: Azure SQL Database, SQL Server 2016, MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Methodologies: Agile, DevOps
  • Concepts: ELT/ETL, DWH, APIs (RESTful), FTP protocols, ESB, Unit and Integration testing
