Data Governance Tooling Analyst hybrid

Job Description

Our EMEA CDO seeking to hire two data governance professionals with expertise implementing data governance tools. The EMEA Chief Data Office (CDO) has responsibility to deliver the UK data quality programme in addition to a broad remit to implement andembed improved data governance and data management practices throughout the EMEA region. The UK data quality programme, centred on addressing regulator feedback on Citis approach to data, has the following objectives: 1) Establish a UK entity-focused book of work that delivers significant regulatory, control and commercial benefits including remediation of material data quality issues 2) Strengthen Senior Manager engagement in data quality initiatives, including BCBS 239 and front-to-back working groups 3) Improve engagement with the regulator 4) Establish connection with strategically important programmes and, 5) Demonstrate engagement and influence with the global Group Transformation initiative. We are looking for individuals with experience of using and implementing data governance tools. First-hand experience of tools such as Collibra or other industry leading data governance tools is desirable Exposure to various facets of data governance (e.g. glossary, data quality rules, data lineage) and corresponding tools is essential. The role offers the opportunity to come in and define how data governance tools are adopted in the region, providing candidates with the room to propose and drive their own ideas whist being engaged in a multiyear strategic initiative. The role will require familiarity with a variety of project management approaches and interaction with senior programme leads and sponsors, products, and functions globally. Given the scale, complexity, and ambition of Citis global data transformation, theEMEA CDO team is dynamic, agile, flexible, and responsive to fast changing needs. This role will need to be adept at working in this environment, handle ambiguity and complexity well, be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities and most importantly beextremely hands on. Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate functionalities of tools and understand the operating model of how to onboard to these tools
• Partner with enterprise CDO function to enable adoption of tools in the region
• Assist finance and risk teams in the adoption of tooling capabilities, primarily for priority reports
• Execute regulator project plans and keep detailed documentation for roll-out of tools to EMEA
• Assist with end to end implementation and highlight issues/ risks in advance

Skills:

• Some Financial services experience
• Hands-on experience of using data governance tools
• Good understanding of Data Lineage, Taxonomies, Data Modelling and Data Quality management
• Experience with industry leading tools related to data governance
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools and capabilities and ability to adapt to changing landscape
• Experience working in large teams and varied set of stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills
• Proactive and able to work independently
