Data Governance Associate- 12-Month FTCSalary: National - ranging from £49,700 - £70,000 and London from £53,300 - £80,000 per annum.Would you like an opportunity to be at the forefront of our ambition to be a data and technology-driven regulator of the future The team/departmentThe Data Strategy and Services department, within the Intelligence & Digital Division, drives the FCAs Data Strategy by enhancing the value of data through data management, governance and analysis activities and providing central co-ordination of all data-relatedactivities. As part of the Data, Technology & Innovation we are leading the FCA in harnessing the power of data and advanced analytics to transform financial regulation.In Intelligence and Digital, we believe in doing things differently:* We believe the best approach is sometimes a new approach* Place emphasis on curiosity and experimentation* Collaborate widely with academics, innovative companies and the rest of the FCA* Believe that people need space to continue learning and the support to develop new ideas, so we commit to giving them bothWhat you will be doing* Oversee the day to day running of the Information Governance Board (IGB) Triage function, supporting the committee, and managing the relationship between Triage and IGB members and IGB Secretariat.* Ability to pick up when needed on the review of draft papers, providing constructive feedback in a timely manner; ensuring approvals are in line with the agreed tolerances.* Assess the best route of sourcing data and challenge new requests, assumptions and proposed solutions to ensure appropriate due diligence and proportionate firm burden* Responsible for the relationships with Data Front door, Data Governance and other areas which are heavily involved in the data collection process.* Overseeing, reviewing and updating the standard operating procedures for all IGB functions so a consistent approach is understood and adopted. * Engaging with Sector teams and other key areas to capture and maintain up and coming data acquisitions in the Pipeline.What you will get from the role* The opportunity to have a tangible impact on the business * Utilise and build on interactions with a wide range of stakeholders* Exposure to the wide variety of data held within the FCA* Challenging and varied work in a friendly and collaborative environmentOur competitive flexible benefits scheme gives you the opportunity to create a personalised benefits package, tailored to suit your lifecycle.
