Job Description

Job Title: Group Data Engineer ScientistLocation: Park Royal, North West London (Remote / Office working offered)Employment: Full Time / PermanentBPS are currently recruiting for a Group Data Engineer Scientist to join a global market leading organisation in its sector. The Group Data Engineer Scientist will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data, flow and data pipeline architecture, as well as creating dashboards and draw insights using out BI tools. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up.Responsibilities will include:

  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture,
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, nonSQL and big data’ technologies.
  • Build analytics tools and dashboards that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
  • Decouple data from application to explore interconnections and future potential
  • Create data tools and provide actionable insights for the consumer team members that assist them in building and optimizing our services into an innovative industry leader.
    • Initially, this job will also include data scientist responsibilities with the vision to hire a fulltime data scientist later into the future.Skills & Requirements:
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
  • Experience working on nonSQL database such as MongoDB, Firebase etc
  • Experience with Data Fabric and/or GraphDB a big plus
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
