Your role • Our consultants work in a variety of projects to solve clients toughest data problems by combining industry experience, consulting and analytical skills to create a lasting impact. • Our projects and clients vary greatly and your responsibilities will differ based on your level of experience/skillset and the focus of the client engagement, but within our Analytics & Cognitive Belfast practice, your role is likely to include some or all of the following: • Developing or leading the design and delivery of data solutions such as ETL components, data warehousing, reporting solutions, data migration or data virtualisation solutions; • Being hands on with data from initial concepts and assessment through to development and deployment; • Advising clients on appropriate tooling for a particular solution based on your expertise in specific technologies; • Providing specialist industry knowledge in the data & analytics domain to our clients and further our offering in new and innovative technologies or applications of technologies; • Managing or developing relationships with key client stakeholders and leading or participating in client workshops to capture business or technical requirements for a data solution; • Being highly collaborative, working closely with clients and end users; • Focusing on exceeding client expectations and delivering against our continuous improvement goals, taking a client problem and turning it into a technical solution; • Supporting our future pipeline of work, from design to sales, through to setup and delivery; and • Working in an environment where self-development, learning and knowledge sharing is actively encouraged as part of the day-to-day work of the team. • Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution Your work, your choice At Deloitte we believe the best impact is the value we add, not the hours we sit at our desk. Location: Your home office will be flexible based on your location, but this client-facing role provides lots of opportunity for travel in the UK and overseas. Work pattern: This is a permanent contract opportunity. The role can be worked on a full-time basis. Our team members work a variety of agile working patterns. Your professional experience We are looking for candidates of all experience levels who are able to demonstrate skills and experience in some of the following areas. • Experience in developing solutions with the Microsoft stack, across SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS • Experience with reporting tools, including PowerBI, DAX, SSRS and GIS solutions • Exposure to Azure technologies including PowerApps, Data Factory, Stream Analytics, Cosmos DB, Synapse Analytics, Event Hub/IoT Hub, Data Lake Storage, Databricks, HDInsight etc • Experience of working with a range of data & analytics architectures. This includes preparing, ingesting, modelling, analysing, orchestrating and visualising data on the Microsoft Data Platform • Experience of agile development using Azure DevOps and modern DevOps practices • Experience of data governance, data quality, master data management, data security and metadata management • Exploitation of unstructured and structured data • A broad understanding of the values of business intelligence, data management or analytics • Data architecture and modelling (including ETL, star schema, SCD, MDM, Kimball, Inmon, data lakes) • Production/implementation of large scale BI, data management or analytics systems • Business consulting: Experience of working with clients to understand, refine and execute technology-enabled change projects. • Team working: A strong background in collaborative working with other creative and passionate data engineers • Management of junior resource to deliver packages of work as a part of larger projects / programmes • Experience of contributing to sales - including the development of new business, bids and expansion on existing accounts • Manage stakeholders using clear communications and be able to form strong client relationships • Demonstrate a clear understanding of risk in relation to delivery projects Desirable • Strong academic background • Azure Data Engineer Associate certification • Analytical and project management skills • Ability to develop strong client relationships • Ability to manage and develop others • Ability to identify selling opportunities • Preferably experience in a relevant industry sector •
