Im currently working with an exceptional buyside firm in London, who is looking to expand their Quantitative Investment team. In this role you will be responsible for integrating new data providers, building data pipelines, carrying out ETL processeswith third party vendors (API, Snowflake and SFTP) and reporting directly into the Head of Research. The current team is split across a Lead Data Engineer and a Quantitative Researcher. You will come in and build the infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources, where you will handle differenttypes of data, ensure data quality by placing strong controls in place and automate management data loads. Additionally, to this be responsible for building and maintaining web scrapers, APIs, and dashboards. The team has grown at a rapid pace and will be looking to double in size by the end of 2022. There will be a variety of different projects for you to work on coming in, where youll have lots of exposure to different areas of the business and have the opportunityto work with a broad range of technologies. Requirements: Experience in Python, building end to end data pipelines. Experience with building and maintaining web scrapers, APIs, and dashboards. Experience with database maintenance of SQL databases. Experience working with APIs and SFTP.
