Job Description

Data Engineer Advantage Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of an established client in London for a Data Engineer to start ASAP initially until 31st Dec.As a Data Engineers you will design and implement modern data pipelines to extract, clean and process data in batch and/or real-time from different data sources.You will work with architects to design next generation big data platform and data products that support volume and velocity of data and future growth. This is a great opportunity to use the latest big data technologies and techniques in an innovative environment.Your technical experience should include the following;

  • Data pipelining and blending technology (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Alteryx, Streamsets);
  • Big data platforms; working with large data sets, large amounts of data in motion and numerous big data technologies;
  • Microsoft data stack e.g. Microsoft Azure Data Lake, Hadoop (preferably with Spark), Cosmos DB, HDInsight/HBase, MongoDB, Redis, Azure Table/Blob stores, etc.
  • design and coding skills (e.g. Python, Scala, JavaScript);
  • Source Code Control (e.g. Azure Devops, Git);
  • Open Source Frameworks (e.g. Apache Spark, Hadoop etc.);
  • Experience with visualization tools (e.g. Design Studio, Spotfire, Power BI);
  • Experience with SQL-based technologies (e.g. MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL);
  • Experience with Restful API developments;
