Job Description

Data Cabling Engineer - LondonAlecto Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Data Cabling Engineer based around London to join our clients expanding team. This position has become available due to company growth and would prefer someone at this time with experience thatcan hit the ground running.Our client are a global company who specialist within the Audio Visual and Security industries, specifically Installing and Maintaining Video conferencing equipment as well as Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarms. The company are well known and wellrespected and they are looking for Data Cablers who want a chance to expand their knowledge and career at an exciting, forward thinking company.This position is to cover London and home counties. All travel expenses will be covered for business.Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and terminating of data cables (Cat5, Cat6, Fibre)
  • Installation of AV Equipment and systems including Screens, Projectors, Speakers
  • Installation of CCTV cameras and Door Entry systems
  • Providing excellent customer service and support
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Working collaboratively with other departments and other contractors on site
  • Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies relevant to the role
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Cat5 and Cat6 Cabling and terminating
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workloads
  • Personable and work with attitude
  • Ability to work upon own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Creative and strong problem-solving skills
  • Show a good attention to detail
  • Be driven, motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work to deadlines

  • Full UK driving licence
In return, the company are prepared to pay between £30,000 - £34,000 as a basic salary. There is also overtime available paid at extra rates.
