Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Business Analyst professional (minimum 3 years experience) to join one of our banking clients onsite, focusing within their Finance Data Team on long-term projects and data strategy implementation.We are looking for someone who can utilise a core data skillset, data analysis and expertise alongside business analysis and projects skills to help the firm with its finance data warehousing project and a wider data transformation strategy. The role wouldbe based in their London office, with a hybrid working model available. The organisation is looking to turn data into an asset by driving a consistent strategy to source & transform data for Finance needs.The ideal candidate will have strong data skills, utilising things like SQL, data transformation techniques and data analytics software. Strong communication skills will be important as the person will work across teams internationally, including Londonand New York. Experience using SQL, Tableau and Alteryx is desirable but not essential, as are project based skills such as business analysis within a financial services setting. Knowledge of financial products across investment and corporate banking wouldbe advantageous.The consultant will provide:

  • Business analysis in support of the Finance Data Team project stream in an Agile environment, driving day-to-day implementation of the data integration strategy.
  • Data analysis, including querying data and analysis of data from multiple upstream systems.
  • Partner with peers in other teams across Group Functions and Business Divisions on the design and delivery of strategic data sourcing pipelines
  • Advise on potential analytical approaches to data sourcing and data transformation needs, including associated costs and trade-offs, and recommendations
  • Design, coordinate, and implement analytical business and technology solutions to support change initiatives
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with a range of stakeholders across different departments and regions
  • Lead and/ or contribute to key project workstream requiring Finance Data Team input, guidance/governance
  • Preparing periodic project updates and reporting for Clients and Senior Management
  • Communicate and escalate to line management as appropriate
