Salary: £48,777 - £63,580 (Location dependent)Working Pattern:This post is available on a full time, part time or job share basis, and flexible working hours can be accommodated.Location:This post can be based in London, Swansea, Bristol, Liverpool, Leeds and BirminghamThe Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) provides an invaluable Internal audit service, delivering a large programme of annual risk-based assurance reviews across a wide range of government departments, including 14 main departments and most of theirrelated arms length bodies. Supporting our customers to meet their objectives, roles at this level present a fascinating and stimulating challenge.About the RoleGIAA has the ambition to be a leader in the use of data analytics in internal audit and counter fraud and investigation. This role is to be a specialist in the application of data analytics in our data analytics team. You will develop and run scripts usingR and Python to conduct data analytics and present findings through impactful visual formats.You will support auditors and investigators to use software tools such as Power BI and IDEA, to prepare data, run advanced analysis and report this to internal audit colleagues and customers. You will provide training and support to increase data analyticscapabilities across the organisation. You will use data analytics to analyse GIAA organisational data to provide insightful management information.You will work with data specialists across government, in the private sector, and support research and development activities to learn the latest innovative techniques in data analytics. You will apply these to GIAA activities to improve the efficiency ofthe organisation.What you will bring to the team:
