Data Analyst - Private Markets - London - Global Asset Manager

ResponsibilitiesData Management and Processes

Help support and drive thedata culture forward ensuring the understanding and value of data governance is understood within the business
Work on understand how private market data is stored, transformed and used acros the private credit and real estate business
Implementation and Oversight of data validation and data integrity processes and ensuring they are robust
Undertake data analysis, reporting and systems / process development to understand issues and propose solutions for the business.
Work with subject matter experts to identify and capture data problems and interpret and translate them into business and operational requirement
Building a strong working relationshipwiththe firms Data Governance team to stay informed of data governance corporate activities.
Supporting data quality issue analysis and remediation for “strategic” data in collaboration with Data Maintainers and owners
Helping to capture andmaintain business and governance metadata incorporate data governance platform, Collibra.
Creating and Engaging as the custodian of Private Credit Data Catalogue, Data Quality Issue Log, Data Quality Rules and Metrics Library.

Data Transformation and Architecture

Identifying and supporting the delivery of data quality initiatives
Support the Private Assets business with their present and future data solution requirements
Serve as a liaison between the business and technology to ensure that data related business requirements are clearly defined and considered as part of the prioritisation and planning process
Work with Data Architects and other key stakeholders around the firm to ensuregoals are aligned with the overall Data Strategy
Work with the business to develop data management tools and solutions

Requirements

3+ Years experience as a data analyst
Ability within Coding and desire to further develop and learn additional programming languages (Python & SQL)
Advanced business analysis skills and ability to use analytics tools (e.g. Power BI and /or Tableau)
Understanding of systems and data architecture
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as the position requires managing relationships with the across the business including Investment, Operations, Research, Technology and Data Architecture.
Self-motivated and an ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively
BSc in a Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering discipline ideally
