Job Description

Recently acquired by Pearson, Faethm will sit at the heart of Pearsons new Workforce Skills division. This acquisition will leverage Faethms market-leading data, insights, and AI capabilities to power the next generation of Pearsons lifelong learningproducts focused on meeting the rapidly changing needs of todays workforce and bridging the global skills gap. As part of this acquisition, were accelerating our growth plans. Based in London (hybrid working) were looking for a Data Analyst, part of ourGlobal Workforce Intelligence team.The Global Workforce Intelligence team is responsible for building and maintaining core Faethm data assets including our global workforce data; the development and deployment of anonymised client data for reporting and benchmarking; and providing workforceinsights to Customer and Marketing teams. GWI acts as a central resource for customer and research teams for global data access.Key Responsibilities

  • Research and gather data pertaining to labour markets from Government sources.
  • Develop and maintain global-workforce data sets and code library utilising Python and SQL.
  • Develop and maintain benchmark data (using anonymized data).
  • Demonstrate a solid grasp of statistics and analytics, and be comfortable explaining analytical techniques, particularly the application of Machine Learning (although we do not expect the analysts to build ML code).
  • Apply critical business thinking, subject matter expertise and client-awareness into the sense checking and validation of data-science/analytics solutions.
  • Be a key partner across Faethm and a source of workforce data and data communication.
  • Be a service provider to Customer teams to ensure accurate and interpretable analytics.
  • Build Tableau analytics for standardised customer dashboarding.
  • Provide quality data analysis, visualisation and reporting and assist in the delivery of data and data insight-reports to clients and prospects via Faethm Customer and Sales teams.
Core Competencies & Technical Competencies
  • At least 2 years professional experience working as a data analyst.
  • Excellent application of data analytics techniques using Python, postgres and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Tableau and applying best practices of data visualisation.
  • Application of evaluation and validation techniques to ensure highest standards of data quality.
  • Understanding of statistical and machine learning methods to impute data would be a bonus.
  • Prior experience working with job ontologies such as O
  • Net and ESCO and labour data would be a bonus.
