Job Description

Job title: Cyber Threat Analyst Location: Central LondonJob type: PermanentSalary: £50,000 - £65,000A fantastic client of mine based in Central London are currently looking for a Cyber Threat Analyst to come on board working with their amazing team. This is an amazing opportunity where the Cyber Threat Analyst will be working for a fantastic world-class organisation with a great opportunity to progress your career.Responsibilities:

  • Act as a member of the Cyber Threat Centre who handles security events and incidents on a daily basis in a fast-paced environment.
  • Role embodies Cyber Network Defence and the successful Cyber Threat Analyst will be able to quickly analyse threats, understand risk, deploy effective countermeasures, make business critical incident response decisions, and work as part of a team of individuals dedicated to protecting the firm.
  • Leads or participates in information security related projects or in managing strategy.
  • Acts as an Incident Handler who can handle minor and major security incidents within the defined Computer Security Incident Response process.
  • Malware and exploit analysis.
  • Shares in a weekly on-call rotation and acts as an escalation point for managed security services and associates
  • Essential skills
  • Systems administrator experience with Linux, Unix, Windows or OSX operating systems.
  • Must be able to understand OSINT techniques
  • Must have knowledge of networking and the common network protocols
  • Must be familiarity of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework
  • Must be familiarity with NIST framework for incident handling.
  • You must have one or more of the following certifications or the ability to obtain within 1 year:
  • SANS: GCIH – Incident Handler
  • SANS: GCIA – Intrusion Analyst
  • SANS : GREM – Reverse-Engineering Malware
  • CREST: Certified Incident Manager
  • eLearnSecurity – IHRP – Incident Handling & Response Professional
