Cyber Security Specialist – Hybrid, GlasgowUp to GBP80,000 + 10% bonus + benefitsHead Resourcing is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join a facilities management company in Glasgow. Revenues with this client have grown significantly to now over GBP1 billion as they work to provide services to some of the worldsbiggest clients. This is a hybrid role with working from the office near Glasgow, however the client is very flexible with how often you must be based onsite.Our client values their cyber security team as the first and last line of defence in protecting their systems, colleagues and sensitive data from any form of attack. This role strengthens the team with an experienced, vigilant and accountable Specialistwho will proactively work with company partners and the Operations leadership team, who will lead a team to prevent breaches of all magnitudes, understand when and how if they occur, and more importantly, take accountability for defining and executing processto take immediate steps to remediate them.In this role, the specialist will help keep cybercrime at bay, using expertise and analytics to monitor all potentially harmful events, and recommend solutions for any vulnerabilities. Along with a proven track record, the incumbent has a deep understandingof cybersecurity standards and certifications, extensive knowledge the threat landscape and determination to never allow them access.Responsibilities:Proactively support governance and risk to help drive improvement across the group.Own and manage risks relating to cyber–security.Support all technology operations in line with company chosen external accreditations including ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials.Anticipate future requirements around Information & Cyber Security including disaster recovery and business continuity.Have in depth experience of the latest security threats and technology trends and be proactive in line with company threat landscape.Experience managing major incidents including identification, containment, resolution, recovery and communication planning.Support planning for cyber incident disaster recovery and help create contingency plans in the event of any security breaches.Define and own the process to monitor threats, potential attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorised or illegal activity.Lead the testing and security product evaluate process.Engage with company infrastructure & solution architects to identify potential weaknesses and help implement prevention measures.Liaise with IT & business stakeholders in relation to cyber security issues and provide recommendations on strategic and tactical roadmaps.Support the creation, maintenance and delivery of cyber security awareness training for colleagues.Collaborate with other members of the cybersecurity team to develop new protocols, layers of protection, and other proactive and defensive systems.Maintain documentation of security policies guidelines, procedures, standards, and controls.Skills/Experience:Microsoft Sentinel and the associated Defender product suite.Experience of vulnerability management, operational governance and cyber risk management.Cyber security essentials.ISO 27001/22301.Microsoft 365/Azure.A good working knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and anti–virus.Analytical and problem–solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns and trends.Excellent team management and team organisation skills.Influential communicator at all Levels including C–suite.Own and fulfil the resourcing plan for the team, including in/out sourcing to ensure a complete cyber defence service is in place and always–on.Conduct regular 1–2–1s with all direct reports to support team and personal development.Set team goals and technical direction while ensuring that they align with the goals of the Technology and Information Security roadmaps.Manage 3rd parties including contractual performance & service levels are fully met.Lead and manage vulnerabilities ensuring mitigation plans & remediation activities are tracked and reported.If this role sounds of interest and you would like to have a confidential chat to find out more, please apply or send your CV to
