Job Description

Overview of the Service Line & TeamIn Consulting, you will join a growing team of 300 relationship driven, strategic thinkers who take pride in the positive impact they can have on society whilst advising the boardrooms of UK and International clients across all sectors. Our Consulting teams support clients in solving business critical, complex problems through a broad range of services including risk assurance, technology advisory, business transformation, regulatory consulting and actuarial support. In a rapidly changing business world, we help clients overcome the challenges that they face today and prepare for whatever the future may hold.As a Cyber Security Seniorwithin the national team you will be responsible for delivering cyber security assurance andadvisory work to a range of clients nationally and internationally. Our broad range of clients, including those in FTSE 350, allow you to gain experience across a range of sectors including:

  • Financial Services, Banking, Insurance and Investment
  • Corporates/Private Sector/Industry & Services
  • Central and Local Government
  • Retail and Consumer products organisations
  • Job Purpose As a Cyber Security Senior, you will be delivering various cyber securityengagements to a range of clients across London and the UK. Role & Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the Cyber Security management team in delivering cyber security engagements for clients across UK.
  • Advise clients in understanding the desired future state of cyber security framework and work collaboratively with them to develop a roadmap to achieve this goal;
  • Assist clients in developing overall cyber security architecture and blueprints based on IT environment and overall business, technology and security objectives;
  • Understand and define the cyber risks for the scope of the engagement;
  • Deliver work to the highest standard including ensuring the work is conducted in line with Mazars Quality standards;
  • Ensure work is undertakento budget and meets clients expectations;
  • Build and develop strong working relationships with clients, ensuring any problems or requests are dealt with promptly;
  • Build and develop relationships with senior stakeholders within Mazars;
  • Act as a role model helping to develop junior members of the Cyber Securityteam;
  • Support the development of the practice, by leveraging the skills and experience gained previously to support the implementation of new initiatives, ideas and processes;
  • Maintaining control and stability under pressure whilst recognizing the deadline or urgency to be dealt with;
  • Clearly understanding the wider service line capabilities of Technology Consulting and Assurance and the wider firm and how these may benefit your clients;
  • Supportproposals and pitches; and
  • Identifyand transformopportunities for new work.
  • The Person
  • Previous experience working in a consulting environment;
  • Desire to grow and develop the cyber securitypractice.
  • Experience in defining and/or implementing security controls to deliver cyber security and other IT capabilities across multiple layers of the IT architecture stack;
  • Understanding of cyber risks and hot topics;
  • Knowledge and experience in two or more of the following areas:
  • Recognisable information security frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST CSF, UK 10 Steps to Cyber Security)
  • Cloud security
  • Network and Infrastructure Security
  • Security architecture
  • Security technologies (e.g., firewalls, security event monitoring, intrusion detection and prevention, malware detection)
  • Relevant professional qualification such as CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/ Implementer, CISM or CISA are advantageous but not essential;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Desire to help grow and develop the team;
  • Assist in the development of new initiatives and methodologies;
  • Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, challenge the status quo and deliver work effectively;
  • Ability to build client relationships with a foundation of trust and responsibility.
  • Ability to think critically, research and solve problems;
  • Ability to multitask and work to tight timelines; and
