Job Description

I am working directly with the IT Security Operations Manager who is looking for a Cyber Security Manager to help lead, manage& grow their security systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for Cyber Security Specialist to move into the public sector and reap the benefits that follow.Role: Cyber Security Manager,Salary: GBP56,000 (Annual Increments increasing salary 65K+)Location: North LondonJob Type: Permanent – HybridBenefits:

Responsibilities Include but not limited to
  • To be responsible for the development, delivery, and enforcement of comprehensive cyber security arrangements.
  • To lead, manage and co–ordinate the activities of the Cyber Security team.
  • Planning, implementation, management, compliance and support of core threat protection platforms, practices, and associated infrastructure to mitigate risks.
  • Protect the University systems and users against IT security vulnerabilities.
Ideal Experiences
  • Graduate or equivalent
  • Extensive practical experience of managing Microsoft server systems, AD, ADFS, M365 and security, public clouds, Azure services, SIEM, Vulnerability assessment, patch management, DLP, end point protection and associated tools.
  • Advanced working knowledge of GDPR and CyberEssentials.
  • Operational experience of Voice, Wireless LAN standards, configuration, and operation.
  • Strong experience of Data Networking Protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS.
  • Proven knowledge of server operating systems, databases and virtualisation techniques
  • Proven understanding of the data management, business process and enterprise system and service requirements to support learning, teaching, research and university business and administration requirements.
Desirable:
  • Masters Degree or other professional qualifications in Cyber Security
  • Demonstratable knowledge of ISO27001
  • Practical experience of managing Linux server platforms
  • A good understanding of the business and operational requirements of universities and their potential impact on the University and its library and computing environment
  • Experience of report writing for senior management level
  • ITIL accreditation
