We are seeking an enthusiastic and determined individual whose role will cover all information security solutions including infrastructure, information, application and physical security as well as threat intelligence and analytics. You will be responsible for security testing of the organisations infrastructure, covering security and compliance related incidents, root cause/single point of failure analysis and providing appropriate recommendations. The successful candidate should have astute diagnostic skills and the ability to solve issues with both clear methods and intuitive steps. You will have the ability to work well in both a team and on your own in a fast-paced environment and have a good understanding of IT Service Management. The successful candidate should have a degree or relevant professional qualifications, with ethical hacker and lead auditor accreditation. An excellent understanding of industry security and involvement with obtaining accreditations like Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials +, ISO 27001/2. in the FE or HE sector is recommended. You should also have excellent working knowledge of PCI-DSS and GDPR, at least 3 years experience working in a security/compliance role. Wide ranging exposure and management of Intrusion detection systems and a vast experience of preventing/containing malware e.g. viruses, Trojans, ransomware, spyware, adware and other malicious programs. *Please apply as soon as possible as applications will be considered upon receipt; we reserve the right to interview before the closing date*.
