To know more about us please visit www.ctinsuretech.comand www.charlestaylor.com.The business operates in the UK and Latin America with ambitious plans to continue its expansion into other geographies through acquisition and partnerships.The RoleCharles Taylor InsureTech is looking for an experienced Security Consultant that will complement our existing team, and who will be responsible for the delivery of key security initiatives and activities, successful.Key Responsibilities

  • Working semi-independently, undertaking information security engagements including working co-ordination and project management (client interaction, deliverables, work plans, escalations, etc.).
  • Assist CTI in obtaining and maintaining certifications (ISO 27001).
  • Identify security control gaps, propose, and implement remediation or compensating controls.
  • Identify cyber risk within existing business and new business, and taking ownership for remediation activities with direction and support from the CSM
  • Working with peers and collaborating more broadly across the organisation to enhance outcomes and expedite results
  • Providing clear, organised findings, and recommendations, and tracking progress towards resolution and risk mitigation.
  • Producing detailed, high-quality presentations and reports for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Actively supporting the development of Security Maturity Models, Security Reference Architectures, and Roadmaps
  • Growing the business through active support of sales prospects and pipeline
  • Providing regular status reports on all assigned projects and activities
  • Support the Cyber Security Manager during all security related incidents
  • Maintain awareness of developments in the information security industry
  • Assist the organisation in adhering to regulatory requirements (GDPR)
  • Assist in the organisation in due diligence responses
  • Conduct due diligence on potential partners and new solutions
  • Act as security representative at the Change Advisory Board
  • Act as a consultant to our Infrastructure team during projects and proposed changes
  • Work semi-independently, liaising with other team members across InsureTech and Group, producing high quality oral and written work product and presenting complex technical matters clearly and concisely.
  • Contribute to our methodologies and leverage collaboration to deliver our customers requirements.
  • Supporting the wider security team and the security manager in meeting security objectives.
  • Work in accordance with the InsureTech Risk Management Framework, and compliance with Charles Taylor Group and InsureTech policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group business.

  • Required Skills
  • Good working knowledge of technical security and enterprise architecture
  • Strong professional expertise in information security - must have the ability to thoroughly understand complex principles and apply them practically. Comfortably present security concepts or findings to both highly technical and entirely non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience in building and assessing secure solutions encompassing people, process, technology and environment domains.
  • Experience in threat modelling activities in an enterprise environment.
  • Operational knowledge of common security frameworks and standards.
  • ISO 27001 Certification Maintenance
  • Well-developed analytic, qualitative, and quantitative reasoning skills and demonstrated creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong work ethic and motivation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience of managing a MSSP SOC
  • Incident Detection/Response experience
  • Exposure to SIEM & Vulnerability management solutions
  • Cloud security, Microsoft Security Centre, O365 E5, and AIP
  • Securing Windows environments (desktop/server/Active Directory)
  • Strong knowledge of network security within a corporate environment
  • Experience working in an ITIL environment
  • Project management and communications skills
  • 5+ years of professional Information / Cyber Security experience
  • Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other relevant subjects.
  • Capability to expand/adapt your skills in fast-paced ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and physical locations, and flexibility to travel
