Consumer Banking Our Consumer business, Marcus by Goldman Sachs, serves millions of customers across multiple products including lending, deposits, and financial tools. Our goal is to build a leading consumer digital-banking platformand to do this we have two self-reinforcing consumer strategies: direct, where we serve consumers through Marcus, and embedded, where we deliver our products through partner ecosystems. Our partners include Apple, GM, Amazon, Walmart, and Jet Blue and we arein active dialogue with additional companies operating in the consumer economy. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIALWe are actively seeking a motivated Android lead with proven industry experience of leading the deliveryof mobile appsThe ideal candidate will be responsible for inspiring top performance for their team and demonstrate very strong leadership and technical capabilitiesThey will demonstrate in-depth understanding of architecting, developing and deployinghigh-volume, multi-tiered, mobile applicationsThey will have a flexible attitude and will work closely with engineers, UX and product designers to deliver delightful mobile user experiencesThey should be comfortable working with Agile processes withan emphasis on quality and collaboration and be eager to influence the processes adopted by the teamThe candidate will get to work with modern technologies, such as Kotlin, RxJava , RESTful web services, OAuth 2.0, and will utilize them to build cutting-edgesoftware that will include advance data visualizationsKnowledge of Consumer Finance is not essential but experience in any of these areas may provide a candidate with some advantageClear verbal and written communication skills will be crucial since thecandidate must be able to gather requirements as well as influence and gain consensus for their designs with the global technology team SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FORAt least 3 years of experience managing software engineering teams5+ yearsof practical experience in developing high quality softwareStrong knowledge of Android StudioKnowledge of MVC and MV* patternsPassion for quality and attention to detailStrong opinions loosely held Preferred qualifications: Required: Experiencewith Kotlin Experience with Room, RxJava, Retrofit Preferred: Knowledge of Repository pattern Knowledge of MVVM or MVI patterns Active on Github, or StackOverflow Knowledge of the latest Android technologies Bonus: Experience with multi-module projects Knowledgeof multi-region applications ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
