Curriculum Manager - Land Based Industries - Maternity Cover £40,285 - £40,540 per annum, dependant on level of teaching qualification 37 hours per week Working pattern: Monday 7.5 hours, Tuesday 7.5 hours, Wednesday 7.5 hours Thursday 7.5 & Friday 7 hours. 52 weeks per annum Common Leys Campus Fixed term 12th September 2022 This is a maternity cover and is fixed term until approximately September 2022 We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and forward-thinking individual who can function effectively under pressure and would relish the challenge of leading and managing the Land Based Industries curriculum area based at Common Leys Farm Campus whilst the current post holder is on maternity leave. This is a very successful curriculum area with excellent achievement rates and we are looking for someone with a strong vocational and academic background who can continue to develop the area and lead a dynamic group of staff. The successful candidate will be an inspiring teacher, relish problem solving and enjoy working in an environment where every day is different. You must be able to support the team to continue to deliver outstanding learner progression and results. You will have responsibility for ensuring a high-quality learning environment and support continuous quality improvement. The provision includes a range of animal and equine Further and Higher Education courses plus level 1 and 2 courses in countryside management, horticulture, floristry and agriculture. It would be desirable that you have good experience of teaching technical qualifications and an understanding of the new T levels due to come on stream in 2023 for Land Based Industries. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to work effectively with students, staff, employers and partners including our HE partner Oxford Brookes University. This could be an ideal position for an experienced lecturer wishing a first taste of curriculum management responsibilities.
