Job Description

Credit Controller - City Law Firm, 3, 4 or 5 day week, hybrid workingWell-established law firm based in the City of London, providing legal services to a wide range of private and commercial clients. They pride themselves on their innovation and commercial know-how as well as their legal expertise.The RoleThey are looking to recruit a Credit Controller due to increase of work as the firm is growing exponentially. Reporting to the FD you will assist with all aspects of debt collection, maintaining an effective and professional credit control system, and yourduties will include:

  • Collection of outstanding debt by telephone and email
  • Managing the collection of debts and their status
  • Preparing weekly and monthly analysis of debtors for internal management purposes
  • Liaising with Directors and other fee earners to resolve queries and resolve issues with outstanding payments
  • Keeping the Finance Director fully informed of issues
  • Sending out monthly statements to clients
  • Maintaining an up to date and accurate record of query statuses
  • Maintaining an organized and accurate filing system
Who are they looking for
  • Min 2 years experience as a successful credit controller
  • Experience gained from a Law firm or other professional services firm (Accounting, similar)
  • Must have above average communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and influence skills
  • Motivated and tenacious with ability to build relationships
