This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks. As a Barclays Associate within our Industrials team you will help to provide large corporate, government and institutional clients with a full spectrum of solutions to their strategic advisory, financing and risk management needs. Our clients also benefit from access to the breadth of expertise across Barclays. Within the team you will focus on Industrials as a sector, managing and assisting in the execution of corporate finance transactions within this particular sector. What will you be doing • Performing financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research • Preparing and delivering client presentations in a clear and compelling manner • Acting as a mentor and role model to the more junior members of the team • Providing support to senior bankers in developing and maintaining client relationships, income streams or new business opportunities • Providing project management support to senior team members What were looking for: • Proven Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and financing skills, gained from either a product or sector team • First class experience required of complex financial modelling, valuation techniques, presentation preparation, due diligence and financial analysis • Experience in deal origination: helping generate ideas, writing presentations and handling client follow up • Solid understanding of the Industrials sector, with a proven track record of executing transactions Skills that will help you in the role: • Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is helpful Where will you be working 5 North Colonnade is home to our investment bank and is in the heart of Canary Wharf, just a short walk from our headquarters at Churchill Place.
