The Alix Project (Online Development), funded by the Peoples Post Code Lottery through RNIB, is an online emotional support platform for people impacted by sight loss. As a Counsellor Team Leader, you will have the exciting opportunity to develop the initialdesign of the project whilst providing high quality time-limited counselling/team leadership. The role will include line managing 2 counsellors, holding a case load, and contributing to our service development in a leading position.The Sight Loss Counsellingteam provides counselling and information over the phone and online to people who are impacted by sight loss. Our client group is diverse, with the majority of clients being over the age of 50. We also offer our service to children and young people, run trainingworkshops on Sight Loss Counselling and facilitate short-term support groups for people with sight loss and their friends and families. The successful candidate will have a knowledge of a range of counselling approaches, supported by a recognised diploma levelcounselling qualification or equivalent. Your experience will need to include working in a supportive chat platform supporting vulnerable clients.
