Job Description

Our client is seeking a commercially focused Corporate Finance specialist with excellent technical skills and real estate financing experience to support the continued expansion of their Build to Rent (BTR) portfolio across the UK. The client is a leadinginvestor, developer and operator of high quality BTR with a combined portfolio of nearly 5,000 units based in large and medium sized towns and cities. There is a secured pipeline of over 1,000 apartments they are actively pursuing additional sites, hence theneed to recruit a Corporate Finance Executive to support the Finance Director in executing transactions and putting in place both debt and equity funding arrangements.This role will be at the heart of these transactions, engaging with investors and lenders, undertaking financial modelling and co-ordinating the client’s team and external advisors through the deal execution process. The role will also support the FinanceDirector on corporate structuring, tax planning and other commercial corporate matters.The Main Responsibilities are:

  • Lead on Corporate Finance aspects of property acquisitions, disposals and funding of developments (including development joint ventures and forward funding arrangements):
  • Arrangement of debt including acquisition, construction and investment finance:
  • Undertake financial modelling for the above.
  • Maintain efficient corporate structure of the group including maintenance of service agreement arrangements between group entities.
  • Oversee corporation tax compliance and planning across the group.
  • Manage corporate insurance arrangements across the group.
  • Maintain knowledge of corporate structuring, financing and tax matters. relevant to our sector to proactively guide the approach within the group.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key tax, legal and other advisors.
Desired Skills and Experience are:
  • Real estate corporate finance experience covering acquisitions, disposals, development, joint ventures, forward funding, debt arrangement, tax planning per above.
  • Financial modelling expertise covering debt, equity, and other structured financing arrangements.
Personal Qualities
  • Keen intellectual ability to analyse corporate structuring situations and propose potential solutions.
  • Clear communicator, able to summarise and explain commercial impacts of structuring decisions.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Structured and organised to effectively prioritise tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Diligent, focused and with keen attention to detail to ensure effective execution of transactions and accurate documentation.
