Job Description

We are working with a leading boutique investment management firm who are looking to hire a corportate communications manager into their growing team in London.Client DetailsThe business are an innovative, growing and marketing leading investment management firm who are looking to hire a corporate communications manager into their London team.The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for developing and delivering corporate and internal communications strategies. The role holder will plan and implement a proactive PR strategy focusing on engaging key media to promote and protect thebusiness and brand. The individual will also develop and deliver an internal communications strategy and programme collaborating with colleagues.DescriptionKey responsibilities of the Corporate Communications Manager:

  • Create a corporate communications strategy and media plan to drive awareness of the brand, asset and wealth management capabilities and manage perceptions of the firm with target markets and key influencers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with national and trade publications and key journalists.
  • Work with stakeholders across the firm including executive leadership, Asset Management and Client Affairs to collaborate on media campaigns for the business thought leadership, products, strategies and other initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Stewardship team to amplify policy outreach and engagement activity.
  • Generate fresh story ideas, themes and angles to pitch and engage with the media. Use of research, data or surveys to develop newsworthy and impactful stories for our target audiences.
  • Develop messaging and write compelling content for press (releases, statements, Q&As, comments) working with the core Marketing team to leverage content on social media.
  • Align with the wider marketing communications plans to increase visibility of the firms global thematic investment capabilities, stewardship approach, products and services.
  • Stay at the cutting edge of financial markets, identifying topics and trends that will engage target markets.
  • Develop a strategy and procedures for crisis communications and reputation management. Handle issues and crises, construct statements and Q&As for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with internal spokespeople. Prepare spokespeople for journalist meetings and calls, including briefing, preparing talking points and providing guidance on positive or negative angles that may arise. Coordinate media training forspokespeople.
  • Coordinate media activity, providing briefing material, bios, comments. Respond to day-today media queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor the results and impact of activity, showcasing media coverage in a creative and visual way along with tracking key metrics for internal reporting and feedback to key stakeholder groups.
  • Establish an internal communications strategy working with colleagues to develop and implement the plan.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to understand whats happening across the firm, topics of interest, inform the communications programme and encourage sharing of departmental news
  • Seek new methods to increase internal awareness of news, updates and events in the firm.
ProfileKey Skills required for the Corporate Communications Manager:Previous experience in a media relations role either in-house financial services at a wealth or asset management firm, PR agency or within financial journalism* Experience managing brand reputations and reputational risk* Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills* Ability to think creatively, identify topical and newsworthy stories* Confident working autonomously and collaboratively* Comfortable working with senior stakeholders* Diplomacy, discretion and professionalism* Internal communications experience desirable* Act in the spirits of the LLPs Core values and promote where possible within working practices.Job OfferCompetitive
