  • Process the full life cycle of Voluntary Corporate Action events for the Investment Bank Division, including both Prime Broker and Proprietary positions
  • Ensure the positions within the events are in line with the various market entitlement rules.
  • Ensure that all elections are passed on in a timely manner, which may mean meeting late deadlines, and all bookings are accurate.
  • Ownership of all payables and receivable items related to the Corporate Action events. Has a client money responsibility, and has the responsibility of reporting on these items in the appropriate controlled manner.
  • Where there is an element of risk, a common sense approach is encouraged to be taken on all positions and exposures.

  • You Offer
  • Strong background of proprietary Corporate Actions experience gained in a broker dealer environment
  • An individual that can rise to many different challenges that different corporate actions may throw up; make steps to problem solve, act appropriately, responsibly and mitigate risks at all stages.
  • Have a proven understanding of the technicality of corporate actions handling in respect proprietary positions, specifically around the handling of stock / borrow loan activity and the associated concept of arbitrage.
  • Strong understanding of recent regulatory changes and the impact of MIFID II on Corporate Actions
  • Detailed understanding of the impact of T2S on Corporate Actions in the relevant markets along with the rules around buyer protection
