Job Description

My client is a growing, well-established US multi-national technology services corporation with a global presence and market share. They are looking to make a qualified finance hire within the UK business on a permanent basis - the title for this role isCorporate Accounting Manager.The UK businessis responsible for all the international subsidiaries outside of North America, including UK, Australia, Singapore, UAE, South Africa, India, and Netherlands.OverviewThe Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for timely and accurate accounting, reporting and analysis of the UK’s operating expenses including all co-worker related costs, and leases. The role also covers inventory valuation and reserves, and fixed asset accounting.Areas of responsibility• Timely and accurate preparation and review of UK’s operating expenses and non-operating income to support both US GAAP external filings, as well as local statutory requirements.• Manages a team of accountants that includes their coaching, development and performance management.• Works collaboratively with other teams locally and globally to ensure efficient and effective processes that meets all required deadlines.• Ensures that effective financial controls are in place and are compliant with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.• Ensures that accounting practices and policies are adequate and enforced, including the development of local policies as well as ensuring compliance with the Group Finance Instruction Manual (FIM).• Supports the external audit process with EY to ensure it is efficient and effective.• Provides strong leadership, mentorship and coaching to attract, develop and retain a high-performing teamOther responsibilitiesinclude• Ownership of the GAAP to non-GAAP reconciliations that support Group reporting. This includes liaising with US teams on any potential non-GAAP items and ensuring all relevant non-GAAP expenses are appropriately recorded in Hyperion Financial Management.• Monthly balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation for all relevant accounts.• Ensures all inventory is appropriately recorded in the financial statements, including any required valuation reserves to reflect aged or specialised inventory.Candidate requirements- Fully ACA or ACCA qualified- Top 4 practice background- Technical and Practical USGAAP and SOX experience- Experience either auditing a US multi-national business within practice OR Experience working within a US multi-national.- Experience with inventory or stock would be beneficialIf you are looking for a growing, stable business to join and match the requirements above - please apply today.
