Job Description

Our client provides foreign exchange trading technology and trade simulation and testing software to the financial services community. Their award winning, differentiating, products are used globally by some of the world’s largest financial services institutions.Their flagship product delivers bespoke foreign exchange solutions with specific focus on liquidity aggregation, multi-asset execution management, high frequency algorithmic trading, and FIX based automated testing of trading systems. Singularly innovative, dazzling stuff (hence the awards!) which has placed them and their pioneering technology at the forefront of this exciting field.Sustained growth has led to these prize career openings to join a London team of c 10 people. The successful candidates will combine outstanding academics (this is a First Class Hons, Masters-rich team) with demonstrable experience working on trading technology. Specifically we’re seeking:

  • Upwards of 3 years post-grad experience (typically 3-8 years)
  • Seriously in-depth core Java expertise (yes - expertise) marking you out amongst your peers as already someone on track to be of guru’ status in this broad discipline
  • Industry experience that is likely to include the implementation of venue FIX protocol adapters, automated trading and smart order routing algorithms
    • And you - what are your aims and goals
  • You will be selectively targeting a small, highly innovative, yet name’ company indisputably on the way UP. That the role will enable you to take on more responsibility, meet your key desire to build great software, that youll be always learning - aside from the dazzling technology the existing team is pretty senior - all within a company with a start-up feel.
    • The Core Java Developer will play an integral role in the growth, maintenance and support of real-time foreign exchange trading applications. Responsibilities will include the implementation of new features to match specifications, implementation of unit tests, issue troubleshooting and resolution, and identifying performance bottlenecks.Initially the role will be remote, though once things are back to normal it will be office based in London EC2.
