You will be involved all the way from supporting the editorial process, developing creative ideas, liaising with other Xero functions, and writing high-quality copy to tight deadlines.You will have a strong creative and journalistic mindset, and plenty of experience as a storyteller, having experience either as a journalist or as a content-focused PR professional. You know how to explain the benefits and impact of industry to both consumers and businesses. You will be an excellent writer who can help to generate ideas on how to tell a story – in which format and on which channels. We want to see proof of how your feature ideas have translated into media and digital coverage. You will be able to understand technical product detail and translate benefits into easily digestible copy. What you’ll do...

  • Creative storytelling and content development
  • Producing a broad range of editorial content, thought leadership or informational content, both short form and long form, print and digital - such as bylined media articles, speeches or video scripts for executives, blogs, white papers and reports on a range of topics and issues
  • Editing of content provided by other functions within Xero
  • Helping internal stakeholders to shape their messaging and storytelling
  • Developing written materials to promote products and services to both small business and accounting audiences through PR and digital routes
    • What you’ll bring…
  • Demonstrable experience of Copywriting
  • A portfolio that not only shows great the copy youve created from both a campaign and product perspective, but also explains why and how you go about creating impactful copy
  • Extensive experience in developing commercially viable, customer focused copy
  • Knowledge and experience of communications/PR teams, as well as collaborating with design and content teams
  • Demonstrable experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ideally, you’ll have experience in worlds of small business, accounting, finance and/or tech industries
