Job Description

An opportunity for a Contracts Manager (Stock Investment) with a not for profit housing providerInitially on an interim basis, with the view for the role to become permanentClient DetailsA leading ALMO and not for profit housing providerDescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Contracts Manager (Stock Investment) role include:

  • Contract Management skills across all contracts and projects for planned, cyclical and refurbishment works programmes
  • Working with the procurement team and the Stock Investment team, to procure contractors/consultants ensuring that tender and contractual documents and making sure that requirements for deliverables, materials and workmanship are incorporated into all specifications
  • Providing formal briefs, specifications, consultation, engagement and communication plans
  • Ensuring that resident consultation is carried out for all projects
  • Ensuring that the external CDM-Coordinator is appointed, providing pre-construction information with an understanding the principles of Decent Homes standards
  • Ensuring that buildings conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards, writing specifications, obtain estimates and costs advice prior to going to tender
  • Providing practical advice in order to solve technical problems
  • Organising and acting as key facilitator of regular progress meetings with contractor and/or consultants during project works
    • ProfileThe successful candidate for the Contracts Manager (Stock Investment) role will include:
  • Experience with a similar organisation within Stock investment, Decent Homes or Planned Investment work
  • Experience of maintaining excellent customer service in all areas of work and lead and manage consultation with residents
  • Experience of dealing with a range of issues concerning Housing delivery
  • Experience of working at managerial level or equivalent
  • Be easily commutable to South East London on a daily basis
    • Job OfferInitially on an interim basis, with the view that the role could become permanent after 3-6 months
