Job Description

Bastows are the foremost contractor working to beautify Londons most prestigious homes. We are proud to have worked for the most eminent estates, surveyors and property management companies adding, maintaining and restoring the value in their properties since 1963.We are currently looking for a Contracts Manager with a background in high-end residential refurbishment projects to join our growing team.ABOUT THE ROLEYou will work closely with the Managing Director and Site Managers across our projects to deliver the excellent results our clients expect and help us operate safely, profitably and ethically. Projects normally range from £80,000 to £3m.Other parts of the role include:

  • Managing major internal and external refurbishment projects
  • Meeting gross profit targets and agreed KPIs
  • Effective planning and adhering to H & S and other relevant compliance standards
  • Oversee Site Managers, labour, subcontractors as well as cost-effective purchasing on sites
  • Customer Advocacy: To work to and exceed Considerate Constructors Scheme benchmarks and client-defined requirements
    • REQUIRED, SKILLS & EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL: You MUST have a background in high-end residential refurbishment projects to be considered for the role.
  • Knowledge of Construction Health and Safety Regulations
  • SMSTS and NVQ6 qualifications are essential
  • CSCS Manager or higher level pass and card must be held
  • Proactive problem solver with strong planning skills and able to manage workload
  • IT literate
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Cost and efficiency aware
  • Awareness of our environmental responsibility
  • Positive, conscientious and sense of humour
