World Leading Global Energy Trading Company has an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Coordinator /Confirmations Analyst for the Derivatives Team.The primary focus of this position will be to support OTC Derivatives activities, so some experience in the Derivs space would be advantageous.The Role:• Provide pre and post deal commercial values driven advice and support to the business.• Advise traders of the commercial and contractual risk associated with their business and ensure that contracts/agreements drafted are fit for purpose.• Provide oversight of the confirmations processes and adherence to EMIR and internal KPIs.• Provide advice and help in resolving contractual disputes with counterparties, liaising with corporate legal counsels as necessary.• Prepare and negotiate ad hoc agreements needed to facilitate new business and structured transactions.• Assist in maintaining a contract and clause database, as well as manage an efficient status reporting mechanism.• Oversight of SOX Controls related to derivatives, driving improvements and ensuring compliance with GRA and external audit requirements• Assist in refining/revising current contracts processes in line with those of other functions (e.g. Settlements) to reduce profit leakage and ensure optimal efficiency.• Close collaboration with the Global Contracts Regulatory Reporting team• Act as SME and be accountable for EMIR and other regulatory requirements affecting the confirmations process, providing training to the team where required.The Candidate:• Must have a good commercial mindset.• Demonstrate effective negotiating skills and capable of managing the expectations of various stakeholders to a contract.• Must have the ability to prioritise work load while adhering to tight deadlines.• Should be meticulous with a keen eye for detail.• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and challenging environment.• An understanding of energy/commodity trading would be beneficial.• Knowledge of EMIR regulations.• Familiarity with ISDA agreements, CSA & VMCSA, Brokerage Agreements and other Master and long form agreements associated with financial trades highly desirableThis needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment.
