Job Description

Role: Contact TracerOffice based: Bristol Ave, London NW9 4EWNature of Employment: Temporary / Fixed Term contract to August 2021Hours of Work: 5 shifts per week, 4 hours per shift. Monday-Sunday 0800-2000. (part time 20-30hrs/week) Varied shift pattern by arrangement.Hourly Rate: £17-18 ph.Start Date: 3rd December 2020Were supporting our clients as they adapt to a new world in the wake of COVID-19. Were now recruiting for roles which will help our clients to deliver vital services and to resume business wherever possible.What youll be doing:

  • Undertake telephone interviews with local people who have tested positive for Covid19 via structured questions to ascertain subject contact information.
  • Manage a caseload effectively and prioritise key tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Escalate and refer any challenging or complex cases, incidents, outbreaks and queries or complaints to the Supervisor
  • Contribute to the maintenance of effective systems for surveillance of Covid19 by ensuring that data and information is entered accurately into the system.
  • Contribute to the production of accurate reports as required.
  • Participate in all training necessary to fully carry out the duties of the role, including mandatory updates and refresher training.
  • What were looking for:
  • Strong knowledge of the principles of health protection and contact tracing
  • Able to engage with residents using different means including telephone (both inbound and outbound), web, email, SMS and written correspondence.
  • Excellent communication skills, including negotiation where individuals are reluctant to share the required information or where there may be safeguarding issues.
  • Awareness of and commitment to confidentiality and information governance principles and willingness to follow IG policies and procedures rigorously.
  • Emotional resilience - ability to elicit information vital to public health in what are distressing circumstances for the individual concerned.
  • Able to understand and work from standard operating procedures and scripts
