Job Description

All About UsCurrie & Brown is currently looking for a consultant for our advisory services team in London. The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.All About The RoleResponsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

  • Carrying out consultancy assignments in a wide range of sectors in various industries
  • Working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver scope of work in line with budgetary, compliance, regulatory and planning controls
  • Providing bespoke advice to clients — from analysing data and working with cost and economic models to facilitation of workshops and carrying out feasibility studies
  • Undertaking responsibility for the quality and commercial delivery aspects of the work and developing skills and sharing knowledge within the whole consulting practice
  • Working with colleagues on project or programme management commissions
  • Producing high-quality technical outputs to clients, carrying out research and analysis of data
  • Gaining buy-in from project teams through stakeholder engagement and client meetings
  • Identifying and contributing to business development opportunities where appropriate
  • Assisting with proposal and bid development; compiling case study information for completed projects
  • Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships
  • All About YouRequirements:
  • Degree in a related subject preferable
  • Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and/or the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers beneficial
  • A minimum of two years’ project or programme delivery experience
  • Previous experience in delivering sustainability or carbon strategies
  • Experience in construction, engineering (ideally mechanical) and a strong interest and knowledge of sustainability in the built environment
  • Some domestic, non-domestic (health, HE, schools or public) and retrofit (residential or commercial) experience desirable
  • Understanding of the construction process and interest in analysing cost benefits and the value of different options
  • Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills (both internal and external)
  • Highly numerate, with confidence in handling numbers in the preparation of reports and economic appraisals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Able to analyse information quickly and efficiently, making decisions using an appropriate mix of analysis and judgement
  • Ability to build a good understanding of processes, best practice, policies, initiatives and innovations which impact on the built environment
  • Strong team player, energetic and dynamic, capable of sharing knowledge and skills and applying best practice
  • Proactive attitude, keen to learn, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, diligent, flexible, and commercially astute with presentation skills
  • Ability to develop plans and track progress, working to deadlines and delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
