Whittington Health Integrated Care Organisation is located in North London providing both community and hospital based healthcare to the residents of Haringey and Islington.The Imaging department boasts a modern digital imaging system including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, Nuclear medicine and DEXA services.We are seeking to recruit a Radiology Consultant with a specialist interest in Breast to provide high quality breast imaging in our symptomatic breast clinic. We currently run 12 sessions per week providing triple assessment for new patients, intervention for surgical patients, stereotactic biopsies and annual follow-up mammography for patients post treatment. We are seeking to expand our capacity and run a joint MDT with UCLH and this post, along with substantive post holders aims to support these changes.The post holder will be expected to perform stereotactic intervention, wires, US and participate in MDT meetings as well as ensuring at all times that patients are treated empathetically and sensitively.The post will involve participation in the On-call rota (1/10 max) and general reporting rota which is supported by registrars.
