Job Description

About the FacilityAt The Harley Street Clinic we provide a range of complex care services for adults specialising in, cardiac, thoracic, cancer, spinal, oncology and neuroscience. Our staff always go the extra mile in caring for our patients which can be demonstrated by our recent outstanding rating awarded by the CQC.We are recruiting for dynamic addition to our business development team.Job SummaryThe Consultant Liaison Officer/Business Development Manager is responsible for acting as liaison for all Consultants at the Hospital, and for developing and retaining referrals from these Consultants for all areas of service delivery. The role is responsible for both the appropriate recruitment of new Consultants to HCA Facilities, and the ongoing maintenance of relationships with Consultants who already have a practice at HCA – albeit as a sole user or split user of HCA private hospitals and another private provider.Duties and ResponsibilityUtilizing specific target lists as agreed with the Head of Business Development, CEO and the Hospital Executive team.

  • Target new consultants to join and start using HCA facilities and services
  • Target ‘splitter’ consultants to move private practice from competitor facilities to HCA facilities and services
  • Skills and Experience
  • Educated to degree level
  • At least 3 years’ experience working with management teams
  • Excellent IT skills: competency using all MS office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Previous hospital based clinical/ operational experience would be an advantage
  • Able to work on own initiative, pro-active and to cope in changing environments
  • Ability to research, understand, and explain healthcare services’ volume, utilization, and market data
  • Ability to research, understand, and explain market demographics
  • Ability to access, understand, and explain Consultant referral patterns
  • Ability to design targeted referral strategies
