Job: Construction UnderwriterLocation: LondonSalary: £30,000-£40,000 + Company BenefitsThe Client:Our client is a respected MGA with an innovative and unique company culture.Due to continued company success, they have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Construction Underwriter to join their team.The Role:This is a varied position which will included assessing risks and underwriting new and existing Construction business in the UK Retail Market.There will be a focus on building an effective business plan and relationships with both new and existing Brokers on the Panel, and providing contract certainty, territories, underwriting performance and limits of liability.There will be a requirement to use underwriter’s system to produce certificates, policy wordings, and bordereaux.This is a growing team and there is scope for progression into Senior Underwriting positions long term.Experience:Previous Construction Underwriting experience is ideal although my client will consider a Broker with Construction experience.Strong knowledge of Construction Insurance and associated risksExcellent Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and build rapport with Brokers and Underwriters.Organised and professional with experience managing a busy workloadJob Synonyms: Construction Broker, Commercial Underwriter, Assistant UnderwriterReferral Fee:Not right for you but you know someone who maybe suitable Please get in touch to enquire and hopefully secure yourself a referral fee for a successful recommendation.
