Job Description

Summary£47,300* - £59,400* This isnt making a change today. This is making an impact tomorrow.Our Construction Team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Consultant to join their team in the London Office. You will manage, plan and oversee new built projects, modernisations and extension of our existing property portfolio, ensuring the higheststandards and deadlines are met.We have moved to a fully flexible model of mobile working for appropriate Head Office and Regional roles, empowering our teams to choose how and where they work best. We feel it is important that, where possible, we offer our colleagues as much flexibilityas possible and trust our teams to determine the right environments that work most effectively for them.What youll do

  • Construction of new built projects, modernisations and extensions of our existing property portfolio (warehouses and stores)
  • Managing project plans and deadlines
  • Monitoring project progress and checking quality standards are met all times
  • Managing relationships with external companies, contractors and suppliers as well as internal departments
  • Ensuring compliance with our corporate specification and internal procedures
  • Providing the highest standards of Health & Safety performance on all construction sites
  • Remedying any issues quickly and effectively with an aim to keeping projects moving and ensuring deadlines are not jeopardised
  • Reporting on the progress of construction projects to the Senior team
  • Budget management and controlling project costs
What youll need
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in either Engineering or Construction
  • Proven experience in a Construction/Engineering related role
  • A full UK driving licence and flexible to travel across the country when required
  • PC literate with strong Microsoft Office skills
  • RICS, CIOB or MAPM accreditation is desirable but not essential
  • A professional and refined negotiator with sound commercial acumen and judgment
  • Highly organised with a pragmatic and analytical approach
  • A strong multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • An excellent communicator who can communicate confidently with people at all levels of the business
  • A team player who can perform tasks independently using their own initiative
