Job Description

At an exciting time of development and expansion for the company, our Store Construction department is at the forefront of ensuring the infrastructure is in place to facilitate our ambitious plans. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and hard-workingTeam Manager to oversee the development of architectural design standards and roll out of construction/sustainability related projects across Lidl GB.We have a hybrid working model for Head Office roles, ensuring you have a flexible work life balance.What youll do

  • Manage the definition of architectural and structural design specifications and all quality control processes associated with it.
  • Manage and co-ordinate external suppliers and internal stakeholders for the roll out of construction projects on the existing portfolio, taking ownership of the progress of projects and budgets.
  • Lead the design team responsible for creating the GB corporate building specifications, liaising with internal stakeholders and our external design consultants.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement in construction processes through design improvements
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to achieve high quality standards across all Lidl construction sites
  • Managing relationships with external contractors and suppliers, including key suppliers providing key building elements to the stores.
  • Presenting progress of projects to senior teams and large audiences.
  • Managing assigned projects plans and deadlines effectively.
  • Providing technical support to regional teams to assist with effective project execution.
What youll need
  • Degree-level (or equivalent) education in Civil Engineering or a discipline Construction related.
  • Relevant practical Civil Engineering and/or Construction experience is beneficial.
  • Experience in national roll outs is beneficial.
  • The ability to multi-task and handle conflicting deadlines.
  • Very good Microsoft Office package skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Equal comfort working within a team and on your own.
  • German speaking is advantageous but not essential.
