Our alumni include Sir EltonJohn, Dame Evelyn Glennie, Annie Lennox, Michael Nyman and Sir Simon Rattle.The Concerts Department is at the heart of all performance activity at the Royal Academy of Music. It co-ordinates a demanding schedule of around 100 orchestral/large ensemble projectsand 250 concerts both within the Academy and further afield, as well as collaborating internationally with professional partners in major orchestras, festivals and venues. The Concerts & Prizes Administrator is responsible to put in to place the planning anddelivery of all practical and musical aspects of chamber music concerts and all competitions within the Academy.With a degree in music (or equivalent) and a thorough knowledge of a wide range of music and instruments, you will also have previous concert managementexperience gained in a similarly busy and challenging role. With a good working knowledge of MS Office applications, you will be able to work effectively under pressure with frequent and conflicting deadlines and demonstrate the ability to organise, prioritiseand show a thorough attention to detail. Flexibility will be required for regular evening and weekend work as many competitions will take place in the evening and at weekends.A recruitment pack can be downloaded from jobs.
