As a Barclays Senior Compliance Manager you will support the Chief Compliance Officer for Barclays UK through delivery of the Barclays UK Compliance plan with a particular focus on the manufacturing of retail Products to BUK customers and the use of Data in and outside of BUK. What will you be doing • Lead day-to-day compliance and conduct oversight of Barclays UK Product and Analytics with a particular focus on the strategic development of Payments. • Provide conduct related guidance and advice on the development of new Payment tech and the delivery of new products and services including an assessment of related regulatory risks • Build an understanding of the BUK Payments strategy to ensure robust oversight is provided and lead for Compliance on projects of strategic importance for the business • Demonstrate ownership of issues and breaches, ensuring they are logged and tracked to conclusion and escalated to senior management where appropriate • Identify, manage and escalate conduct risks and risk themes within the business and interpret regulatory requirements and regulatory change, across a range of topics • Lead on the successful delivery of the annual One Conduct Risk Assessment in relation to Transact and Pay • Contribute towards relevant external consultations, discussions and policy debates as required, provide input on assigned Policy and Standards as required • Work with our Compliance Assurance colleagues to assist in identifying scope for review, supporting our Compliance Risk Assessment outcomes What were looking for: • Awareness of emerging Payments technologies and the emerging risk from new technologies and customer behaviour. • Strong understanding of Payments Services Regulations (PSRs) e.g. Payment Services Regulation (PSD2). • Ability to self-learn, be relentlessly curious and challenge outside of comfort zone. • Knowledge and experience of risk management including knowledge of risk assessment tools, RCSA, BCF and Compliance Policies. Skills that will help you in the role: • An understanding of Risk Management particularly in the context of a heavily regulated environment. • Experience of interpreting and advising across additional broad range of retail regulations including BCOBS, MCOBS, ICOBS, CONC, DISP, SYSC, PERG and Payment Services Regulations. • Proven experience in conduct and regulatory risk assessment and risk management Where will you be working In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
