Job Description

Job Purpose Part of the Quality and Risk Management Team, the Compliance Monitoring Manager undertakes compliance monitoring reviews to provide assurance on the adequacy of systems and controls in the firm, including adherence to regulatory requirements Role and Responsibilities

  • Undertake compliance monitoring reviews as set out in the Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • Develop recommendations and corrective action to support the business in addressing deficiencies identified from compliance monitoring reviews
  • Tracking of monitoring actions through to successful resolution.
  • Reporting to Compliance Director (and other stakeholders as appropriate) on levels of assurance and/or any issues arising from specific monitoring activity
  • Pro-actively engage with stakeholders at all levels and build collaborative, effective relationships across the business
  • Work with the Compliance Director to regularly assess the relevance and focus of the Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • Continuously develop and improve the monitoring methodology and overall approach.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Must have previous experience of undertaking compliance monitoring reviews
  • Possess the knowledge and ability to identify key compliance controls
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ideally experience of managing relationships with senior level stakeholders
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Driven and self-motivated
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Good organisational skills
