Job Description

Rthirteen are delighted to be working alongside fresh and growing financial services company located in Central London, in their search for a Compliance & MLRO. Reporting directly to the CEO and the Board, the focus of your role will be overseeing, monitoring and reporting on any emerging risks to ensure all business transactions follow any relevant internal and legal requirements.This position would be suitable for someone in a similar senior compliance role, who has the knowledge and skills to take the lead on developing compliance monitoring programs, conducting any financial crime investigations, and providing training to staff. This is a rewarding position, with a growing business.Duties to include:

  • Developing, adjusting, maintaining, and supervising the company’s compliance program.
  • Developing relevant compliance policies and procedures to be implementing across the company to help manage any compliance risks.
  • Auditing of company procedures, practices and documents.
  • Offer guidance and training to fellow staff in regard to fraud related queries.
  • Reviewing and submitting relevant compliance/non-compliance reports.
  • Monitoring of day-to-day operations of company’s AML/CTF program.
  • Maintaining regular communication with the FCA.
  • Gathering documentation and making reports to the Financial Crime Investigation Service.
  • Reporting to the CEO and the Board on the overall compliance function of the business.
    • You will have/be:
  • Previous experience of residential mortgages or knowledge of retail banking products
  • Degree educated within one of the following areas: Law, Finance, Business Management or other similar, relevant subject.
  • At least 3 years proven experience within a similar compliance position.
  • Up to date knowledge of compliance and applicable regional regulations.
  • Knowledge of risk management techniques, market practice & an awareness of emerging market developments.
  • Experience drafting and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to investigate, question and scrutinise information.
  • Naturally inquisitive and understand the importance of document examination, remaining confidential and always acting with integrity.
    • This is a full time, permanent position.
