Job Description

Established in 2008, Oyster Search & Selection specialise in recruiting HR professionals on behalf of a range of clients in Legal, Professional and Financial Services nationwide and internationally. We recruit in to roles for both HR Generalists and HR Specialistson a permanent and interim basis.We are currently recruiting for a Compensation & Benefits Specialist on behalf of one of our new FS clients in the City. Reporting to the Senior Payroll Compensation & Benefits Manager, key responsibilities include:

  • UK and Global Payroll
  • Assisting and supporting the Global payroll functions in accordance with local laws and regulations;
  • Keeping up to date with local legislative changes that may impact payroll processes globally (e.g. UK Pension Regulation, EU Working Time Regulations);
  • Responsible for preparation timely reporting to external bodies (e.g. monthly reporting to HMRC, ONS).
  • Global Benefits
  • Assist the Senior Compensation Manager to continuously assess employee benefits in order to be competitive in local markets;
  • Keeping up to date with local legislative changes that may impact benefit offerings globally (e.g. UK Pension Regulation)
  • Engaging with potential Benefit providers and undertaking due diligence in accordance with company policies (e.g. third party provider reviews);
  • Assist and prepare regular reviews of Benefit providers and give support when issues arise (e.g. policy renewals, tenders);
  • Assist with the management of all Benefit related invoices/payments ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policy.
  • Global Payroll, Benefits Policies, Processes and Documentation
  • Responsible for maintaining up to date Payroll policies and processes ensuring consistency in all jurisdictions;
  • Keeping up to date with local legislative changes that may impact HR processes and payrolls globally (e.g. Employment Contract Changes, EU Working Time Regulations, Holiday Pay, Brexit).
  • Risk Management: Assisting with regular HR Audits and Risk Assessments.
