Prospectus is delighted to be working alongside an independent charitable foundation funded by a national bank, in their search for a new Communities Lead. The foundation works in partnership with small, local charities, people and communities, changinglives and working towards a more just and compassionate society. Through unrestricted funding, support to develop, and influencing policy and practice, they help these charities thrive, communities grow stronger, and people overcome complex issues and barriersso they can transform their lives.Working across the areas of Redcar and Cleveland, Great Yarmouth and Halton, as Communities Lead you will work alongside local people, funders and partners to think differently about how local services could be designed, delivered and resourced. The workis wide-ranging and tailored to the needs and challenges of the local areas, and the ideal candidate will be a motivated and flexible person, who is able to identify and initiate opportunities for change and collaboration.Partnership working is key in this role; you will work closely with local partners in each of the communities, ensuring work is ground in the unique aspects, assets and needs of each locality. You will plan and facilitate meetings and events, and developapproaches for engaging people with lived experience of social issues, to ensure balanced representation in the work of the foundation.Ideal candidates will have previously delivered services for people facing complex social issues, and have a knowledge and understanding of the challenges of these. An ability to build effective and positive working relationships is essential, as is insightinto the public, private, and academic sectors and the join up’ points between those sectors, and the voluntary and social enterprise sectors, that act as drivers for change and collaboration. A in background in facilitation, chairing, negotiation and co-productionis useful, as is an understanding of commissioning and contracting.
