The Electoral Commission have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Officer(Campaigns & Corporate Identity) to join their team.Location: LondonSalary: £32,900 per annumJob Type: Full Time, PermanentAbout Us:The Electoral Commission is the independent body which oversees elections and regulates political finance in the UK. We work to promote public confidence in the democratic process and ensure its integrity.The successful candidate will join the team at an exciting time as we plan for elections taking place across England and Wales in May 2024 and a future UK Parliamentary general election due to take place before January 2025.The Campaigns and Corporate Identity team is responsible for delivering major public awareness campaigns to ensure that as many people as possible are able to take part in the democratic process. We also lead the organisation’s internal communications andmanage the use of its corporate identity on publications and branded materials.Communications Officer – The Role:Are you an ambitious communicator looking to develop your career at an organisation playing a vital role in our democracyWe are seeking a Communications Officer to join our Campaigns and Corporate Identity team. This is exciting and fast paced work which is vital in supporting our democracy and public awareness of elections.Communications Officer – Key Responsibilities:- Support the delivery of voter registration and voter ID campaigns- Lead on, and support, internal communications activity- Lead on the planning and delivery of our external stakeholder communications activity- Manage key team systems and processes- Coordinate the delivery of corporate publications and design work- Build effective working relationships key stakeholdersCommunications Officer – You:- You will need to be proactive and enthusiastic, able to manage work within your brief and to juggle conflicting requirements of different stakeholders to deliver outcomes that meet our objectives- You will also need to be self-motivated to progress your own projects, alongside supporting the work of others and contributing across the organisation- You will be able to develop new skills and apply for training opportunities as well as get involved in things that interest you in the wider CommissionCommunications Officer – Benefits:- Benenden Health Care services (health care provision for all staff from day 1 of employment.
