Job Description

Communications Manager (Education)Location: LondonSalary: £30k - £34k + Excellent BenefitsJob Type: Full - Time, PermanentThe Client:Our client is a reputable educational firm, committed to fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment to a diverse student community aged 11-18.The Role:As a Communications Manager, you will be a member of the Community Engagement Team (CET) delivering and overseeing communications, website content, social media, and PR materials.Responsibilities:

  • Generate copy for digital platforms and external news outlets, ensuring alignment with the schools mission.
  • Collaborate with CET for strategic and community-focused messaging.
  • Utilise data for informed communication decisions.
  • Develop communication tools supporting the schools Value Propositions/USP.
  • Build strong relationships within the community.
  • Safeguard and promote student welfare.
  • Contribute to an integrated marketing and communications strategy.
  • Liaise with the Learning Systems Coordinator for proofreading social media output.
  • Prepare and deliver newsletters and daily messaging.
  • Support emergency communications as outlined in the Crisis Management Plan.
  • Contribute to admissions and marketing campaigns.
Requirements:Essential:
  • Previously worked as a Communications Manager or in a similar role.
  • Digital communications expertise.
  • Skilled in writing with the ability to deliver varied copy.
  • Possess bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Desirable:
  • Experience of international and/or IB schools.
  • Background in a start-up environment and media liaison.
  • Understanding of Marketing, Communications, Development, Creative Arts and Media, and/or Education.
