Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a Communications Lead - Africa has emerged, across a 12 month contract within the utilities and technology sector. This role will work closely with the Communications Manager to create and deliver a strategic regional Communicationsand Public Affairs Plan which is measurable and aligned with segment, region and country-level priorities. This role will be based in South West London, and allow for hybrid working 60/40.Client DetailsA global business with a dynamic workforce and ambitious growth plans.DescriptionThe successful Communications Lead - Africa will be responsible for;

  • Working closely with the Communications Manager to create and deliver a strategic regional Communications and Public Affairs Plan which is measurable and aligned with segment, region and country-level priorities
  • This role will manage all internal and external communications and you will proactively generate content for channels, including videography and photography , country websites ,and social media channels, intranet and yammer, and project presentation materials
  • Developing and managing national and local messaging documents for the Project for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Owning the regional events calendar and end to end management of internal and external events working closely as required with in country teams.
  • Working closely with the Communications Manager to develop, track and regularly review the regional Communications issues and risk.
  • Using insights, measurement and best practice to drive continuous improvement and inform communication strategy.
ProfileThe successful candidate will have the following expertise;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present information in a clear and compelling manner to a variety of audiences and
  • A successful track record designing and implementing effective communication plans which align with business strategy using a number of tools and
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders across multiple disciplines, levels, cultures and geographies,across organisational boundaries.
  • Ideally, expertise from a global remit which includes Africa. The ability to speak French would be advantageous.
  • Proven strategic planning and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Strong Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office 365 skills.
