Job Description

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Finance Manager to join a leading, global FMCG business with house-hold name and based in central London. This is an ideal role for an ambitious and motivated individual looking to develop the next stage oftheir careerClient DetailsMy client is a global FMCG company and a household name. Further detail available on request.DescriptionThe Commercial Finance Manager will be the business partner to the VP of Sales and Marketing - Europe, the Sales & Marketing Directors and their pan European teams.Specifically responsible for the following strategic objectives and key deliverables:

  • To provide robust, challenging analysis and supportable recommendations in respect of historic and prospective performance across the European business. To be able to analyse and interpret variances
  • To ensure that the Commercial Team has the best and most appropriate tools to make good business decisions
  • To support the Commercial Team to ensure that revenue queries/issues are handled efficiently and effectively
  • To be a subject matter expert in the management of data in BI (reporting tool of SAP) and Anaplan (Business planning software) as well as to be fully conversant with SAP data mining and Profitability Reporting
ProfileThe successful Commercial Finance Manager will have the following credentials:
  • Likely 1st role out of practice in Advisory (TS/Restructuring/Corporate finance) or with previous commercial finance experience within a reputable busines
  • Professional finance qualification - likely ACA/ACCA/CFA or similar
  • Circa 3-4 yrs PQE
  • Educated from Russel Group University - technical degree advantageous
Job OfferThe successful candidate will receive the following:
  • Basic salary between £70,000 + car allowance £7000
  • 26 days holiday

  • Opportunity to work with wide range of disciplines - commodities trading / supply chain / chemical engineering / mechanical engineering / sales and marketing
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders (c-suite)
  • Likely rotate within 2 years into a different role in finance - e.g. Commercial, FP&A, Operational Finance - as interests and opportunity dictate
  • In house training courses - e.g. Lean Six Sigma Green belt / Personal Development Initiatives
  • Top performers (2 yrs + service) at manager level have potential to be sponsored for MBAs by the company (3 employees from within finance in last 5 years
  • Flexi working - maximum of 3 days a week required in the office
