Job Description

Commercial Finance Analyst £45,000 - £50,000 + great benefits & study support Hybrid Working (2 office / 3 home split) Central London This is an incredible opportunity to join a growing global hospitality group in their HQ in central London. This role offers a varied commercial role, clear routes of progression and great culture and working environment.Responsibilities:

  • Updating analysis for the monthly board pack providing detailed commentary on key variances
  • Business Partnering with general managers
  • Highlighting any trends, risks and opportunities from data
  • Support the Financial Controller around Month end duties, Budget and Forecasting and Annual Audits
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ad hoc projects and analysis as required to support Business Controllers.
  • Full management and maintenance of Trial Balance including Prepayment/Accrual
  • Calculation and Posting of Sales including breakdown of VAT
  • Maintain a system of controls over all accounting transactions but with particular importance of sales, costs of sales and staff.
  • Liaise with Events team to ensure all invoices are raised on a timely basis and provide weekly deposit reconciliation.
Qualifications, experience, and skills - essential/desired:
  • Part Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) ideal
  • Able to deal with large data sets - Good Excel skills
  • Thorough knowledge of technical accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience in establishing new processes and procedures
  • Excellent business partnering skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must be solution driven with sound problem solving skills and a creative approach with the ability to develop new ideas
  • Keen ambition to learn and develop their skill-set
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and organise both work and people to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team and independently as well as be comfortable working in an unstructured environment
  • Honesty, integrity, reliability
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
